The world’s largest single site solar park will feature the tallest solar tower and will be located near to Al Qudra. The landmark will produce 1000 Mega Watts (MW) of clean energy by 2020 and 5000 MW by 2030. The solar tower will be 260 meters with the world’s largest thermal storage capacity. The size of the square will be 43 sqkm, which be like 8000 football field combined. Around 270,000 homes will be powered by the new development. The development will annually reduce around an estimated 1.4 tones of power generated carbon emissions. The energy produced from the tower will be at lowest cost of electricity in the world.  The solar tower will also offer 464 MW of clean electricity to the EXPO 2020 site and this will be the first one of kind Expo in the world to solely use power from clean energy. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan inaugurated 200MW phase which will offer 50,000 homes clean energy also save 214,000 tones in carbon emissions. The second phase features 2.3 million solar panels.
